It has been a busy first six months of 2025. While airfreight levels have remained high, shipment flows have changed. Safety and security remain at the centre of cargo handling while improving and modernizing processes remain a core concern. Process improvement and cross stakeholder standards remain important, all of which has been reflected in the continued conversations Cargo iQ has been a part of.

At IATA’s World Cargo Symposium in April Cargo, iQ’s framework was repeatedly associated with conversations around digitalization, sustainability and process improvement. During a panel on sustainability panellists EK, Menzies and Swissport pointed out how Cargo iQ’s station route map and data represent a great opportunity to help plan resources more sustainably. The ONE Record training, held during WCS, also highlighted the MOPs role in data orchestration.

It has been a busy year so far with three new members joining Cargo iQ, the development of the tiers system and various updates to our reporting and many more exciting developments. We look forward to what the rest of 2025 may bring for Cargo iQ.
