Welcome to the June inSight!

Ariaen Zimmerman, Executive Director, Cargo iQ

As we head into summer in Geneva, we are happy to bring you a round-up of our achievements and developments during the past couple of months.

In May, after a mail-vote, we welcomed our new board under the leadership of Henrik Ambak, Senior Vice President of Cargo Operations Worldwide at Emirates Sky Cargo as the new Chair , and Kerstin Strauss, Vice President and Head of Global Air Logistics Operations at Kuehne + Nagel as our new Vice-Chair.

Both Henrik and Kerstin bring extensive industry knowledge to the Cargo iQ Board and we look forward to working with them during the next year. You can read the full report in another story in this newsletter.

Since the last edition of inSight in April, the Cargo iQ team has been visiting members and colleagues around the world for training and implementation sessions, as well as supporting process alignments and upcoming audits. On top of that, we attended Air Cargo Europe in Munich, Germany, CNS Partnership conference, IATA Ground Handling Conference alongside a training hosted by IAG, and Multimodal in Birmingham, UK.

At Multimodal, I joined a panel to discuss collaboration and innovation in the industry and advocated for the benefits of working with others, which is a core value of Cargo iQ. The panel was well received, and it was a great opportunity to network with our industry colleagues in the UK and Ireland.

At the Working Group in Prague we received record attendance, and the second stage of the ongoing collaborative initiative, our Q Rally, successfully took place. You can find out who won in another story in this newsletter.

Most recently, we visited Royal Air Maroc in Casablanca to prepare for the Cargo iQ implementation and future certification. We are very happy with their commitment to become Cargo iQ certified as quick as possible, and we would like to send a big thank you to the team in Casablanca for their great energy and support.
